I have Psoriasis bad. I used alphosol lotion in the 60's. It was good. Used a UV light. I need to know if this lotion can be bought. If so send me details. Thank you and God Bless You.

Alphosyl lotion's active ingredients are/were allantoin 2% and coal tar 5%. Find a good compound pharmacy (a pharmacy that mixes things especially) and tell them about alphosyl lotion and the active ingredients and they can perhaps mix something up for you. I also like alphosyl lotion very much and it's the only thing that really helps. I lived in Berkeley, CA (not now and have to go through the process again)and a compound pharmacy there made some up for me. It was kind of grainy, not smooth like before, but it worked. Now they use steroids in everything and it helps for a short while and it all comes back again. Alphosyl applied several times would make it go away and not come back for awhile. Mine is mainly in my scalp and if I can control that I don't seem to get it on my body much. It's not hard to shampoo out either. I wish you luck - I'm on the east coast now and have to find this lotion again. If you know anything, I would appreciate your telling me. Good luck.
