    Befarin information

    Befarin is an anti-coagulant or a medicine which helps in the thinning of the blood.

    Befarin indications

    This medication is indicated for the reduction of blood clotting essential for the prevention of heart attacks, stroke and the blocking of arteries and veins.
    Befarin may also be prescribed to treat other medical conditions aside from the ones mentioned above.

    Befarin warnings

    Due to the anti clotting property of Befarin, it should be administered with care and preferably under doctor's monitoring for patients who have the following medical conditions:
    Have recently had surgery
    Ill with stomach ulcers, or any other forms of bleeding
    Have had stroke caused by bleeding in the brain

    Befarin and pregnancy

    This medicine is belong to the drugs categorized under Pregnancy Category X which means that taking Befarin may cause harm to the unborn, cause birth defects and birth problems.

    Befarin intake guidelines

    This product must be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, if the instructions given by your doctor are unclear, you must verify them from a medical authority such as a pharmacist or nurse.
    Each dose of Befarin must be taken with a full glass of water. The medication should be taken at about the same time of each day and it could be taken with or without food.

    Never take more or less of this drug. Always follow the prescribed dosage for intake.
    Avoid abrupt changes in your diet. The consumption of Vitamin K may significantly decrease the effects of the medicine. Vitamin K can be mostly obtained from spinach, Swiss Chard, coriander, collards, and cabbages.

    allergic reactions characterized by hives, swelling of lips, throat and mouth and the closing of throat passage.

    blood in urine and vomitus
    coughing of blood
    bleeding gums, and sores in the mouth
