It is an anti-androgen. Bitakebir indications This medication is primarily used in the treatment of cancer in the prostate. It may also be used for purposes other than those indicated here. Bitakebir warnings This drug may not be advisable if you have liver disease or any other serious illness. You may not be able to take this drug, may need dosage adjustments, or may need special monitoring while taking this drug if you have any serious condition. Bitakebir is not indicated for women. Breast-feeding and pregnant women especially should not take this drug. It passes into breast milk and belongs to the FDA pregnancy Category X, which means that it is sure to harm an unborn baby. Do not abruptly discontinue using this drug especially without consent from your doctor for it may cause a variety of unwanted side effects. Bitakebir intake guidelines This medicine should be taken in exactly as instructed by your doctor. If there are matters that you do not understand, refer to your doctor, nurse or a pharmacist. Ask any of them to explain these matters to you. Each dose of Bitakebir should be taken in along with a full glass of water. It should also be taken in with food or meals to lessen upset of the stomach. Bitakebir should be taken at about the same time each day. Do not abruptly discontinue using this medication especially without consent from your doctor. Bitakebir dosage Dosage of Bitakebir should be obtained from the doctor. Dosage may vary from person to person with regards to a variety of factors. Make sure to take this drug exactly as instructed from your doctor. Bitakebir overdose Do not take more of this drug than prescribed by your doctor. Overdose of this drug is not known to be fatal. Contact an emergency room, poison control center or your doctor if you suspect overdose. Bitakebir missed dose It is important not to miss a dose of this product. If a dose is missed, however, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the subsequent dose according to your normal dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this drug unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Bitakebir side effects This medication may cause serious allergic reactions, which include: Difficulty in breathing Closing of the throat Swelling of the lips, tongue or face Hives If you experience any of these, discontinue taking Bitakebir and inform your doctor immediately. Bitakebir also has less serious side effects that are more likely to occur. They include the following: Hot flashes Decreased sex drive or even impotence Diarrhea or constipation Breast tenderness or swelling Weakness Pain in the back or pelvic area Continue using this drug but inform your doctor immediately especially if these side effects tend to be bothersome. Other side effects may also occur when you take this drug. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience anything unusual in your body while or after taking this medicine. Bitakebir drug reactions Bitakebir reacts with Warfarin, a blood thinner. Taking Bitakebir with Warfarin may cause bleeding. You may need monitoring in your Bitakebir or Warfarin therapy. Other drugs may also react with Bitakebir. Inform your doctor if you are taking drugs other than Bitakebir including over the counter prescriptions such as vitamins, minerals or even herbal products.
