Hi there, I have a 5 year old who has suffered a phlegm + raspy cough, runny nose, gooey ears and no fever for the past 5 days. (She had grommet surgery slightly less than 12 months ago). She's been on bisolvon linctus 10ml/3 X per day for 5 days and has shown signs of improvement. Today I gave her one drop of covomycin-D in each ear after a bath when i noticed lots of pussy looking ear wax coming out. She developed fever roughly 2 hours after having taken the drops. Her fever has gone from 38.1 - 39C within an hour. Am concerned the drops I gave her may have induced her fever/current condition? Or wondering if it is just bad timing? Her school mates are unwell and temperatures have been zub-zero at night, warm during the day. Please advise...
