As a child I can remember my mother putting a few drops of warm eclectric oil in my ears for an earache.It would take the pain away right away.I wish they still made it.It was great for may things.

Where can I buy Dr Thomas Electric Oil in Canada?

I would like to know where I can purchase this. As a child my grandmother used it to clear up canker sores in my mouth. I also used it a few years ago to clear up cold sores it is an amazing product. I haven't been able to find it on the shelves and the young people think I'm crazy when I ask if they sell it.

I agree with all of the other comments on this post. We used to get it at our Shopper's Drug Mart, but they don't sell it anymore, and I would dearly love to get some more. The bottle that I have is dark brown in colour, the same as I remember it had when I was a child. My Mom also used it for earaches for her 6 children, as well as for any bumps and bruises we kids acquired. Always worked! It was the one thing I made sure was in my medicine cabinet, when I left home and got married. I used it many times for my kids too!

i had dr. thomas electric oil since a was a baby from my mon. I know it is for external use but some how mu mom gave it to us when we a kids and also saved my little sister when she was only 5 years, the doctor trying to give her medicine for he very bad chest cold but nothing worked my mom gave her 3 -5 drops with brown sugar on a teaspoon the doctor was so surrprise that in a couple of days she could breath again the doctor said keep on given it to her since that was the only thing that was working. electric oil saved her life. When my child came down with a very bad chest cold also nothing was helping my mom said to give it to him I was afraid because it said external use only, my mom said it saved yr sister and did not kill anyone in the family. my mom had always in the house and when we got a bad chest cold we all to it especialy at night. one day I got a bad chest cold and could not sleep for days. So since I had a bottle I took it like my mother gave to her children.
that night L sleep like a baby and in a couple of days my chest cold got a lot better. when my child came down with a bad chest cold i decided to give him the same way my mom gave it to me and that night all the phlemm and cucus came up and he slept like a baby. Ever since then I would give to my children. We call it a miracle oil.the bottle is brown and yellow sticker called Dr. thomas electric oil. contian :camphor 0.87% w/v oil of thyme 0.0% w/v my bottle was 250ml

cough due to colds , bronchitis, apply on chest but my mom also gave us on a teaspoon with brown sugar to cut the taste. as a person who tried with a pit of drops with br. sugar I miss it greatly. also my sister from vancouver is also looking for it she has the last bottle that my mom gave her. I use to get at Jean Coutu drug store but they seem not to have it anymore. Many people here are calling this product "Electric" Oil... It's actually spelled "Eclectric" Oil. Just thought I'd clarify. My Mom and Grandma called it "Electric" Oil too, so I also referred to it as Electric Oil, until I actually paid attention to what it said on the label. I'm still looking for it, and would like to know where (in the world), I could get some. By the way...has anyone here EVER heard back from anyone about this? My Internet search lead me to a document saying that the distributors license would not be renewed for some reason.
