    PHL-Leflunomide information

    This medication, with the generic name of Leflunomide, is specially formulated to provide physical relief from inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain as caused by rheumatoid arthritis. PHL-Leflunomide acts by stopping the production of too much immune cells causing inflammation and swelling in the body.

    PHL-Leflunomide is prescribed to patients showing signs of rheumatism as listed below:

    PHL-Leflunomide warnings / precautions

    It is best to have a discussion with your doctor prior to taking PHL-Leflunomide as there may be cases when it is not advisable to take the drug. Let your doctor know of any allergy from food, preservatives, dyes, or other substances, and if you are experiencing medical conditions such as:
    Disease of the immune system
    Serious infections - this drug may lessen the body's ability to combat infection

    Average oral dosage (tablets) for rheumatoid arthritis:
    Adults - 100mg once a day for three days, then 20mg once a day

    PHL-Leflunomide must be taken as indicated in the label. However, the dose may differ from every patient. Do not change the dose unless directed by your doctor.

    Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Should you forget to take the scheduled dosage until the following day, skip it and proceed with the next one. PHL-Leflunomide must not be double dosed.
