i took sinecod because i was and still am having a cough for almost a week. i was directed to take it at bed time and i have noticed that after (estimated time) like 15 to 20 minutes, i'm having insomia or i can't sleep and then when i do sleep, left part of my body seems to have a tingling effect as if you're about to be paralized. i stopped taking sinecod for 2 days and slept much better and that there are no more sensation (the numb part and thinking that you'll get paralized). i tried taking the med again and it's the same reaction. is it a side effect of the drug? please research. thanks

Here is more info about that product. I am pharmacist and that is what you should know about that syrup - tablets. I should add that people having diabetes can use it.

sinecod is contraindicated for children under 3 years old, but sinecod oral drops may use also for babies from 2 months years old. for your daughter you can try to use also syrup if it has good effect but depo tablets is contraindicated for children under 12 years old.

I would like to know drug interaction of Sinecod with antibiotic like Azithromycin, Fimoxyclav and Cefixime, also with Ventolin and aminophylline

Novartis declaims that currently there is not find any data about drug interaction of Sinecod (Butamirate Citrate and inactive ingredients) with any others medications.
