My Dermatologist just prescribed Ketoconazole Shampoo for my scalp. The info pamphlet appears to warn against getting the shampoo on other parts of the body---Can I shampoo my hair with this in the shower? Also--it appears that it will take the curl out of my permenanted hair. How long after I no longer need the shampoo can I get a permanent? Will the medication left in my hair interfere with the wave solutions? I have a family wedding coming up in August in Phoenix and hope to look half way decent at least! Being 83 years old makes it tough even without 'hair' problems! I'd ask my doctor but he's away at the moment.
