In countries where any term listed in A09 without further specification can be assumed to be of noninfectious origin, the condition should be classified to K52.9.

· NOS
· dysenteric
· epidemic
- Infectious diarrhoeal disease NOS
Excludes:
- due to bacterial, protozoal, viral and other specified infectious agents ( A00-A08 )
- noninfective diarrhoea ( K52.9 )
· neonatal ( P78.3 )
